Who Are We?
The Stoney Creek Radio Control Model Aircraft Club was established in 1977, however the field was being used as a radio control flying site in 1969 and is probably one of the oldest known radio control flying sites in Canada.
We have approximately 60 to 70 members and fly all types of remote control aircraft, such as sports planes, WW1 & WW2 scale airplanes, jets, gliders, trainer airplanes and all types of helicopters. We also fly specialty types including IMAC scale competition planes and home-made combat planes for our air-to-air combat melees. Propulsion can include electric motors, gas engines, jet turbines, glow engines and even no-engines (gliders).
If you are considering a hobby in radio control then we welcome you to come and see what we are all about. The instruction is provided free of charge as a club member. You supply the equipment and we’ll teach you how to use it.
Please go to the Join The Club page where you will find the Club Membership application, a copy of the Club Constitution and By-Laws, a Flying Instruction schedule and a link to the Model Aeronautics Association of Canada (M.A.A.C.). Note that you must be a member of M.A.A.C. prior to joining the Club.
