2015 Mall Show
We had 13 members, some 25 aircraft and a simulator demo present at the recent annual Mall Show, held as usual at the Eastgate Mall in Stoney Creek. Kudos to all the Club members who came out to promote the hobby and the Stoney Creek Hawks Club.

Frozen Finger Fly
'Twas a bitterly cold and windy day when a few intrepid, brave and one could say somewhat foolhardy flyers proceeded to the field to celebrate the first day of the New Year at the annual Frozen Finger Fly.

The wind she was a-howling. So much so that it tore our windsock in half resulting in our trusty field manager having to triple his monthly Valium dosage.
One highlight of the event (OK maybe not that big a highlight as it was hard to beat the free coffee and donuts) is the awarding of the 'First In The Air' award given to the Hawk flyer who braves the elements to be first airborne in the New Year . |

Congratulations Ron. Last of the rugged adventurers. Especially considering it was a 10 minute flight at -18c !!
And all he got for his efforts was this lousy Dollar Store picture frame....
